Translated 18+ Doujinshi: "Quite erotic, not that erotic, a bit erotic Zelda"

I posted about this a while back, but Joouheika (the original scanner & translator) wrote and has graciously allowed us to host it! It's a gorgeous little, erotic but romantic, Skyward Sword LinkxZelda story. ...and it is literally called "Quite erotic, not that erotic, a bit erotic Zelda"... which is kind of a hilarious title. To view the whole thing you must be 18 years or older and a member of our Live Journal group.

And please check out Joouheika's Tumblr for more translated Legend of Zelda doujinshi and web-comics! They're really great.

If you would like to view the first five SAFE-For-Work pages, that were posted to the artist's pixiv account, here you go:

Doujinshi Translated into French

Mori no Sasayaki (A Whisper in the Forest) has been completed so it can be read in in French!

Originally translated into English by Rinael, this was translated into French by the lovely Mamandine and Edited and Localized in French by the amazing TwilightSaphir. Please check it out and, if you can help translate or edit into other languages, please contact me!

New Doujinshi Added: Sovereignty

I can not thank  Joouheika (aka Fuji) enough for scanning and contributing this stunning doujinshi, Sovereignty. This was done by one of my favorite doujinka, Dogstars/Inu Nishimachi- but her work is so extremely rare!

By the way, you MUST check out Joouheika's Tumblr. It's FULL of really awesome translated Zelda web-comics, stuff you will not find anywhere else. ...now, enjoy!

Newly Translated Doujinshi: Dark Side

Dark Side has been completed so you can now read it in English! Check it out because it's absolutely stunning, one of my favorites so far. 49 pages based on Link's inner battle with his darker-half and his suppressed love for Zelda. I'm so glad Rinael translated this one, Cavalier did such a beautiful job localizing it, (the writing is sublime,) and I put a lot into cleaning & editing it so it could be as perfect as possible ;) I'm off to edit doujinshi another now!

New Doujinshi Added: Snow Fantasy

Just added Snow Fantasy, a 25 page Midna x Link doujinshi by Rio Akisaki. I have to admit, I wish that the doujinshi had more of Midna in her true-form. Her imp form seems a little strange. Either way, it's pretty cute, and the art is great! Check it out~

I also did some spring cleaning on the site, changed some links, updated some areas- etc.

Tons of doujinshi and comics: including translations and adult content

#1 Live Journal: I started the History of Hyrule LiveJournal. Please join us there!

#2 Adult Content Comics: Since there is an option on LJ to block adult content from young viewers, I'm going to be using it as the 18+ site as well. I've kicked it off by adding 3 adult doujinshi by Mio-Kun. To see them all you should need to do is join the group and be over 18. Please let me know if you have any problems, it's my first time using LJ groups and using the explicit content feature.

#3 Tumblr & Web-Comics: I've started a Zelda web-comic tumblr to work as a comic archive. It's simple: join us there if you like Zelda web-comics and submit any web-comics you find that are is missing from it! Since it's new, that means a lot are missing. Don't forget there's also the regular fanart and zelda tumblr.

#4 Tons of Translations: Speaking of other comics, Fujiappletan is amazing and has uploaded a ton of translations to their Tumblr (joouheika) and to the Hero x Princess LJ community. You really must check them out, they're awesome. Warning: Many are 18+ BUT they're very respectful in theme. Here are just some:

Title: Princess Agitha & the Grasshopper Swordsman by Yoko (Dim)
Translated and Edited by Fujiappletan

Title: "Zelda... I'm happy" by Warami
Slightly Mature in Theme and Language.
Translated and Edited by Fujiappletan

Title: "Unto Us a Child is Born" by Warami
Slightly Mature in Theme and Language.
Translated and Edited by Fujiappletan

Title: [sharing] エロそうで、エロじゃない、少しエロいゼルダ by Shinji Yamaguchi
This is 18+
Translated and Edited by Fujiappletan

New Doujinshi Added: An Angel and a Devil

Spring has arrived on History of Hyrule thanks to Louisa's lovely art. The plan has been to have a layout for everything! Interested in making one? Then check this link out: http://historyofhyrule.com/information/help_layouts.php

As for content, here's a cute doujinshi from 2004 called "An Angel and a Devil" by Usagi Paradise. It features mostly Link and Dark Link, though you'll find a lot of other Ocarina of Time cameo's. Enjoy!

New Doujinshi Added: Vol 8: The Tale of God and a Man

This doujinshi, which is based on Ocarina of Time, is from 2002 and completes a very mature 8 part set that goes by the title "The Goddess Give A Cry." While the style is different, it will grow on you. The more work I read by this artist, the more I love them.

Like Louisa said here in the comments, "after almost ten years we discover there is another volume." Seriously. For almost 10 years we didn't know there was a volume 8, we thought it was a 7 part series. (find volume 1 here) No matter how much we stalked auction sites... we never saw it and, between us, she and I have been pretty dedicated when it comes to putting this collection together. But, hah! It did pop-up and I was lucky enough to be able to grab it, so here it is! Freshly arrived from Japan. ENJOY!

NSFW: It may not be safe for school depending on the country you are in. It's gory and there are a few pages that feature bare breasts, (it's not done in a sexual way though.)

Over the years there have been a ton of requests to see this series translated. I would LOVE for that to happen... but... the style or writing is complicated so I know it would be very difficult. But... if you would like to help pressure someone to translate it in, just leave a comment saying so on it on the forum.

New English translation for the doujinshi "Twilight no Gaki Daishou"

Translated by Rinael, Edited by JayEye, Localized by Cavalier, Scanned by Me, and with some back-up translation help from Brigette: "Twilight no Gaki Daishou" (The Bully of Twilight) is a cute, comical, and short doujinshi for Twilight Princess. Be sure to check it out! And, if you want to leave a comment on any of the publications, it would be awesome of you to utilize the forum for that! Thanks guys, and Enjoy!

And sorry for the lack of updates: my cold came back and I had a sick pet that needed hand-feeding. After that, of course I had to watch Mass Effect 3 from start to finish ;) BUT, I did get a lot scanned while watching that being played, so at least there should be a lot of new content in the coming days.

New Doujinshi Added: Hyrule Fantasy

It's actually one of the oldest doujinshi I've ever found, but an awesome one too. It's for Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, and A Link to the Past (There's even a page for LoZ and one for AoL.) It's really rare to find doujinshi for those last four. Check it out and enjoy! I know I did.

And, can anyone tell me who the artists are so I can list it properly? I have a guess for one of them, and it seems to say who all of them are~ I just can't read it.

100 Zelda Doujinshi: Fully Scanned and Readable!

I can't believe there's already 100 scanned Zelda doujinshi posted, ...with more to come! Many are in English and other languages by the way. You can browse by things like language and artist.

Edit: January 23, 2024: I forgot to add this here but if you are 18+ years or older then I do have an archive site for pornographic adult doujinshi: https://zeldaporncomics.blogspot.com/ You could always find the link off of the main site but I buried it and made it hard to find on purpose. It's NSFW but the main page is pretty mellow and there's no pop-up or anything, it's just another ad-less blogger page like this one.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, to make it easier for a broader range of people to browse what's readable on the site. Choose what works best for you:
. Find the flickr album here
. Or go to the Main Site

Publication's Section Highlights:

Server Outage

The main site is down, but at least it's got nothing to do with us this time. It's just the host: a typical glitch and nothing to worry about. They just have to get their servers running again and it will be back up.

In other news, I've been trying to get organized and to get back to people over the past 2 days. Will probably use tomorrow for that as well. I have a bunch of info to update on the main site too. So, until I have time for more, please check out the official art I've started to add to the temporary official art gallery on flickr, and go enjoy our tumblr! I queue up a bunch of art so there's always a steady stream of goodies to follow :) and then there are always more great stuff on our Facebook page!

And feel free to ask questions or make suggestions about what you would like to see!

Hyrule Historia is for sale again!

But only from the publisher's site as far as I can tell. It's not for sale on amazon.jp unless you buy it from an individual seller, so this may just be a box of books they had shipped back from them from somewhere. I doubt the publisher ships to individuals internationally: but a Japanese proxy, or a bookstore like Kinokuniya, might be able to order this for you. (Call the latter during business hours, it's faster than email. The ones in big cities may also be more of a sure thing than the smaller area locations.) A brick-and-mortar bookstore may not charge international shipping fees either, only in country shipping if you can't pick it up. I use to buy a lot of things that way, (especially when I lived in NYC) it really was a solid and safe way to purchase. Not to mention cheaper than all the other options.

Here's the link to purchase the book on the publisher's site:
http://www.bookshop-ps.com/bsp/bsp_detail?isbn=9784092271593

Also, I should be giving a few copies of this away in a fanart contest soon. I hope :) Check out my last post for info on that.

And join this Facebook group if you haven't! "Please bring us Hyrule Historia in English" Nearly 6,000 of us already agree, we want it in English! But we need more people~ The more people, the more likely they'll hear us and do it!

I'm back... again *heh*

Hey guys!
Sorry for the February absence, I had some health matters to attend to. Then I got sick, so I was only able to get back on the computer today. Back on track now though! I have a ton of email to answer, and I'll be updating with new English and Spanish versions of manga and doujinshi over the next few days thanks to the hard workign contributor's out there~ Then I'll be adding more official art to our temporary gallery over on flickr. In the meantime, check out what's there now: flickr.com/photos/historyofhyrule/sets

Fanart Contest:
I also still want to do the fanart calendar contest this year, for a 2013 calendar, but I have to make sure I have the energy (and money) for it. Last years was a huge hit. The main calendar was downloaded by over 1000 people before megaupload went down. The customizable calendar didn't have a tracker on it, but that page was accessed a lot, so I'm assuming the number for it was very high as well.

I started discussing the theme for it here though- so if you want to do the idea even without knowing if it's "officially on" yet, you can! It would still be awesome to play around with, it should go well with all the timeline excitement: melorasworld.com/zelda/theforest/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=802

One of the other hold-ups is I'm making sure the prizes I had already ordered got here. That will be a huge determing factor. Basically, my hope is that 4 copies of Hyrule Historia will be showing up as prizes for this contest in the next few days. :)

I'm back~! Let the art parade begin

Sorry, I had to be elsewhere for a few days, but now I'm back and am adding more high-res official art to the flickr gallery collection, before I start adding it to the main site. I'll finish up with the near 600dpi art from Hyrule Historia and the Zelda Box made from flat scans, and then I'll move on to other publications and art!

The Cagiva Link to the Past manga continued in English!

First, a note: If you could help with translating into other languages, or would like to help translate doujinshi from Japanese to English, please contact me!

Knights of Hyrule is also looking for Spanish and French translators to help get Hyrule Historia from English into these other languages~ If you could help them with that, you'd be making a lot of fans very happy!

Okay~ on to the Link to the Past manga by Ataru Cagiva. Some of you have been waiting years for this. Well... we may take a while, but we never give up! Chapter 1 of Volume 2 is finished, and the rest are on the way. There's a lot of people to thank for this happening: Mariam, Beno, Cavalier, JayEye, Fox Lee, Michi and myself all worked on it. Beno also made all these awesome "English" covers that you see below. (Don't worry, the Japanese versions still use the Japanese covers) So, continue on... to finally continue on!

This has been in English for years. It was one of the first Zelda manga ever on the web, and one of the first translated thanks to Beno. He's back with us and we're going to update all of the volumes of this Link to the Past series! This one will be redone after the others are completed.

After years of waiting, the first chapter is now in English with more to come shortly! Feri-san is translating it into Spanish, and another friend is translating it into German. :)

This is currently only in Japanese, but it is actually fully translated, as in: we have the English script for it. We just have to work through volume 2 before we get to the localization and editing for it.

This has been translated for years. Though... I was an awful editor 10 years ago so I'm actually in the process of redoing the text I originally did so it will look much nicer than it has. Malu CLBS is also in the process of translating and editing this into Spanish!

This has been translated for years, and Beno did a great job on it. Malu CLBS is translating and editing this into Spanish as well!

If you'd like to see what other translated works we have on the site, you can sort by language: Head here for Manga, here for Doujinshi, and check the rest of the publication sections out for all the other rare and amazing content.

Fanfiction Contest Winners!

Last year we hosted a Fanfic contest to complement the fanart contest. It's taken me a while to announce the winners, but here they are and MAN are they worth checking out. They're all also short stories, 2000 words or less, so they don't take a lot of time if you want to dive right in! All 3 winners are very different, and if you enjoy even some of them: be sure to read the rest. Everything was pretty great! Comments for the authors would also be amazing! Everyone loves to know their work was read.

1st place: Ghost Dance by Cavalier
A beautifully told dark tale about the Sheikah.

2nd place: RETURN of the SWORDSMAN by Hero of Geeks
An incredibly fun cross-over.

3rd place: The Rain Festival by Forlorn Rain.
A romantic tale that will certainly draw you in.
