Zelda Fanartist List

Artist who do at least some Zelda fanart

Since social media is burning down I'm going back to the old ways and keeping a hard link-list.
  • 2025/06/20: Started in January 2025 and I'm still adding artists.
  • I know a lot of people are still missing from this but I'm running on one brain cell so please help me figure out who: To add someone comment on this Bluesky postDM meemail me, or comment below.
  • Looking to add this mostly: Name. Common web handle. Website. 2 other links okay! Preferred: Linktree or Caard type link-list, Bluesky, or another common site.
  • I am not direct linking to Xitter or Meta platforms.
  • Let me know if one is an 18+ Page/Adult Themes account so I can tag it for people. Art must also be considered legal in the US. I may not have marked as Adult simply because I didn't see any NSFW artwork when I added the links. Browse the internet at your own risk.
  • I'm linking to artists I'm told do Zelda art. If I check back at these links and don't find any I may remove them. I'm mainly going off Bluesky accounts right now. You can find some Zelda Fanart lists from the tab in my Bluesky profile.

Lists on my Bluesky are loosely organized as such:

A New Publication Index

I'm building a publication index that may be easier for some people to navigate than the main site. You can find it over to the side bar on a desktop or in a dropdown on mobile. Right now it has basic info for about 90 various Zelda manga and then links to where you can find other things. I'll be updating the cover photos in the flickr gallery to have the same info: because if you're like me you're a visual person and that will be easier for you to navigate.

This is the link to the new, text based, publication index.

I'm also slowly cleaning things on the site up, trying to get everything current, updated, and less of a mess.

Mangaka Information: Kobayashi Susumu (Masaru)

I'm just working on re-building the artist information section of the site. This will be a mess for a while.

Susumu Kobayashi .

I'm virtually unknown, but this year marks my 43rd year as a manga artist. The works I created in my mid-20s to early 30s, the period when I was at the peak of my career as a manga artist, have been made into e-books and are currently available as "Wanpaku Comic Revival." I'll be tweeting about old memories, my current situation, and promoting my manga, etc. lol

Kobayashi Susumu is a Japanese manga artist . His most well-known works include the comic adaptations of games such as "Valis" and "Dead Zone," which were serialized in "Wanpaku Comics" (Tokuma Shoten).

List of works:
He has also written several comic book adaptations of games for game anthologies such as "Winning Techniques Complete Edition" in "Wanpaku Comics."

Mangaka Information: Ranmaru

Image from Mr. Kobayashi's twitter feed.

Kobayashi on Twitter: "This is a photo of me, Yamagami sensei, Ranmaru-san, and myself on a company trip to Hokkaido. The small man with the beard and bell-bottoms is Ranmaru-san. I've blurred out the area around his eyes just in case (lol). In front of the restaurant in Tsurui Village. This is when the gag "A crane comes from Tsurui Village" from Gaki Deka was born. #Ranmaru #Yamagami Tatsuhiko "

The origins of Ranmaru's "The Legend of Zelda" featured in Family Computer Special (1986)

These were sent to Susan1n in DMs by Kobayashi, one of Ranmaru's coworkers and friends. This is probably the correct order for the pages but I am not 100% on that:

こばやし将 @show_kob - Sep 28, 2024:
その昔、乱丸さん、すずお泰樹さんと3人で「スタジオあるまじろ」という名称で仕事を請け負っていた時期がありました。1985年講談社発行のこの「Theハレー彗星マガジン」もそのうちの1つ。巻頭のカラーイラストや記事に使われた多数のカット、漫画等を手分けして描いたのは懐かしい思い出です😊

Long ago, Ranmaru, Suzuo Taiki, and I were working under the name "Studio Almajiro." One of those jobs was "The Halley's Comet Magazine," published by Kodansha in 1985. I have fond memories of drawing the color illustrations at the beginning of the issue, as well as the many cuts and manga used in the articles.
