I've been dreaming for over a decade about having a translation for this, because it's seriously one of my favorite Zelda works, and the Zelda fan, Kaialone (follow them on twitter,) just made my dream come true. They actually couldn't get a hold of me a few years ago but just worked on volume 1 for the Hyrule Fantasy anyway. This year, when I stumbled back online after being missing for a few years, unaware of their earlier email, they saw one of my updates and reached out to me again to let me know they had done some of it and were happy to keep going... Well, they just finished the whole Ran Maru series. All 4 volumes. I'm blown away. I am so excited. So, without much further ado, I'm going to post each chapter in a thread to make it easier to read.

If you haven't read the first book, start here though. The title of this post says volume 1 but it's basically volume 2 because it continues from an earlier book about the first Legend of Zelda game. The one above. Find the translation for Volume 1, for Hyrule Fantasy, the Original Legend of Zelda, here.
As a side note, but an important one: The reason we're not doing a scanlation right now is that these are likely going to be released in Ebook form by the original publisher and I am hoping people will buy those, (and now be able to read along,) which will then encourage the publisher to release all 4 volumes in actual book form. If they don't release these as Ebooks I will do the scanlations though.
